Why are some Y!A categories less popular than others?

Has anyone tried the new AB customized home page feature where you can choose your preferred categories and opt out of the others? What categories did you check? See the blog on the home page.

    No. While I know absolutely nothing about some categories on AB, I don't want to miss the chance to rate the good questions posted under them. It's my own way of encouraging people to ask good questions on Answerbag.
