If I buy a computer in American can I use it regularly in the UK? Would the only additional thing I need to buy an outlet converter?

Answer:
If the computer is like most and has a 110/220 switch on the back, then yes all you'd need is a UK power cord. Just don't forget to throw that switch before plugging it in:)

Some, like Dell, are dual voltage and you don't need to throw a switch. Just make sure the one you buy works on both 110 and 220 volts. Then you will need a plug adapter (from US to UK...which is only a few dollars or pounds).
