One of the differences btw men and women is that women can multitask, while men's strength is mostly in singletasking. How can I learn to singletask, in order to hone my skills in a specific area when I want?

There are probably experts out there or entire books dedicated to questions like this. But without researching anything, I'll just share something general that I bet would apply to this specific area as well. Habits. You normally behave in one way and you want to train yourself to do another. Not all the time. Not for everything. So? Here's my suggestion. Choose "one thing" you want to learn. What's that one area you can start with FIRST .. to learn as you put it .. "skills in a specific area". Now .. with that .. very specific thing .. go to your calendar. Treat this like any other habit we humans want to have. Build it in. One day at a time. Mark off your 15 minutes or 30 minutes or 10 minutes PER DAY you are going to do THIS and nothing else. Rather like when we decide we're going to exercise or go running or work on a stamp collection or watch the nightly news. Pick the specific thing. Select your daily time slot, Do that - to the exclusion of all else - for a specific number of minutes. Not forever. Not never. But 1/2 hour or 15 minutes. Soon, you'll have proven to yourself that you can EITHER multi-task OR you can schedule an insulated timeslot to do ONE THING where you're honing a skill or learning something or enjoying something "singular". And you'll be saying "Hey! I can choose which way I want to be .. when .. about what". Hurray!!! :)
