Computer cd player will not work?

What causes a cd that you burn off the computer not work in a home cd player but it will work in a car cd player and the computer?

  • Answer:

How old is your home CD player? Many older CD drives cannot handle CD-Rs because the difference between a 1 and a 0 is more subtle than they can read as they are used to regular CDs where the difference is more dramatic. Newer players are more sensitive and can differentiate the subtle differences that an older player cannot. Think of it like this; a *nearly* blind person can tell whether the sun is up or not, but it takes a person that can see to avoid walking into walls.

Maybe you used a rewritable disc. Not all cd players can play music recorded on a CD RW. Try a CD R disc. (Read only)

You burned the music in MP3 format, right? That would be why. Your home system just can't play MP3s. Not all CD players can.
