Will an HD DVD play on a Blue-Ray player? I have an HD TV and am thinking of upgrading to a different player. I can't get an HD DVD to upload on my regular DVD player (2004 Toshiba model). It keeps saying "Check Disk" on the screen.

No. If you have an HD DVD and no HDDVD player, you're S.O.L. Blu-Ray player will play most everything BESIDES HDDVDs. They DO make nice expensive coasters though.
