On my old WIndows XP computer, I had Google Desktop index all my web pages and I was able to view them both online and offline. I now have it on my new Vista computer (on which I'm typing this) and it indexes my web pages, but I can only view them online.

Answer:
I don't have Google desktop but from what I see online you need to click on the " 1 cached" option instead of the main link. The main link now takes you to the actual webpage and the cached link takes you to the file stored locally on your machine. If this still doesn't work, perhaps your browser is set to empty the cache on closing or something similar? I'm not sure whether Google desktop caches it's own copy or just assumes it will be in the browser cache for a bit.
