IS THIS A GOOD DEAL AND WILL IT BE A GOOD SYSTEM TO GET?

How do I get an AV system set up using a computer and sound files that will reproduce sound from music as good as they used to in the 1970's? I want to get rid of my CD's for storage reasons but the sound from mp3 files sound tinny through my Bose 321GSX

  • Answer:

The problem is more than likely the Bose system, not the mp3's, unless they are at a very low bit rate, in which case you need higher bit rate mp3s.

Why not get a receiver with a "sound" that you like and run the computer through that receiver? That way you will be using the 70s era amp to route sound to your speakers. It's not hard finding receivers, between ebay and the trash they are all over.
