Why does the Detroit Lions always play on Thanksgiving?

Why do the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys always play games on Thanksgiving?

  • Answer:

Because it's a NFL tradition! My Detroit Lions have played on thanksgiving I think since the 30s and the boys since the 60s! Us and Dallas always have had this day to our selves! However sadly they are in the mist og considering taking the Lions of thanksgiving day and I know they suck but I say tradition is tradition! If LA or NY had this tradition going no matter their record they would be allowed to have their traditional game probably till the end of time! I say let the Lions and city of Detroit keep thanksgiving!
