Billie holiday impact in society?

If everyone on AB does one good deed this holiday season do you think it would have a major impact on society?

    NOt just on AB but everywhere. If every person in the world would do 1 good deed it would made a BIG difference. If everyone would volunteer 1 hour of time visiting a nursing home or working with the homeless or reading to a child with no parent, etc. imagine how good this world would be. Carry someone's groceries, cook them a meal, God forbid spend $1.00 on a loaf of bread for them to eat. I think that some people have forgotten, or just do not care what the season is about. They are so caught up in the gift giving and the "what can I get for myself" that they forget that some people have no family or friends and some people won't be having Turkey for Thanksgiving, some people don't have coats for the winter. Some don't even have homes to go to.. but it's all about making money. GREAT QUESTION!!

I think today I did a good deed, for some reason I must have been right place for right reason: I had a box for VCR tapes to donate and went to second store that helps local seniors, there was a lady in there looking at the older PC's and she seemed sad, I over heard her tell owner could she put one on lay away till 1st when she got paid as hers had died who power surge that hit her house. Lady never really answered her so I asked what happened and how PC was acting, she told me and hubby and I followed her home and I took a look at system, I found just the monitor had went bad, so I told her we would go home as I had a spare. Its about 30 mile round trip and picked up my PC repair kit, extra monitor and canned air to clean it too. Went back and in about 30 mins had it back up & running for her, she lived alone,her hubby had passed. She tryed to pay and I said NO, just happy holidays, figure thats what giving is all about. I did get 2 FREE HUGS though......
