I have 2 ps3's. just repaired one and they both work on one tv but neither will display on old tv. Problem is that the HDMI cable on the TV they don't work on works fine with a regular DVD player, but I get no signal when I hook up the P

Without any more information, it sounds like the old tv has crapped out. My hdmi cable works with both my dvd and my ps3. Try another cable and that will rule out if it is the cable and throw more evidence that it is the tv. It never hurts to reset the ps3 either. Hold the button down until it resets.
