Is the new blackberry phone worth all that money?

Do you need to get a Blackberry package when buying a Blackberry and pay money for something you don't need? I do not need internet right now on my phone, maybe in two years or so but not now.

  You can get a smartphone with no data package - sync new software, calendar and contacts with your computer. The whole point of a blackberry, however, is its connectivity, especially for corporate email. If you don't need that connectivity you can probably find something less expensive that will work just as well.
