Can you be a medical assistant with a nursing degree?

I have a friend who went to college and was almost done with her associates degree in nursing. But stop and went to a fast track school to get a certificate in medical assistant do that make any sense at all?

  • Answer:

Almost done? Some of those ceritificates are a few months, who knows how long she had left w her associates. Maybe she was pressed for time? Programs can be filled with "crap" to make the them feel like your getting a brief well rounded idea of specific work. Is she employed? Maybe thats all that matters to her.

No it doesn't seem to make sense. Who knows maybe it was for financial reasons or a shift in her motivations.
