I need tips for my movie.

I need to memorize a speech for class and it also deals with a scene from a movie which i also must memorize. Any tips?

  Record the scene verbally: use a tape recorder or your computer. Play it back in the car, when you're out jogging, whatever. Repeat along -- play a short segment, stop, repeat it aloud, think about what the words mean. Imagine that you're telling that phrase to someone, with the intent that they understand, so you're not just parroting the words but building the connections in your memory between the sounds, the sequence of words, and the meaning of the sentences. You can augment that by writing it out periodically while practicing, i.e. type it into the computer or hand-write it. The more different senses and modes you engage while memorizing, the better. Also, practice delivering your speech in front of the mirror. Ideally, you should be able to rattle it off in your sleep automatically! But don't go on auto-pilot when you actually deliver it: be present with the people in the room. Focus on two or three two individuals in different parts of the room, and talk to them specifically so you're not just "jabbering at the crowd".
