Why do people stop answering the questions of users on their Friends' List when someone returns after taking a leave of absence from AB?

I have no idea why AB friends would do that. I missed your input here when you were on your AB break.

So, I gather that answering questions is one of the responsibilities/obligations of having 'friends' on AB, eh?

(long answer) Huh? Not sure what your intent is with the question. Hmmmm .. let me think out loud. (Dangerous, but hey .. I'll give it a shot. lol) Ok, so friends answer your questions regularly in some fashion. You take a break. While you're gone, people form new daily habits .. just because. You return. You post questions again. Ok .. now your question could be either of these two: (a) you don't see the same level of friends answering your questions now that you're back and wonder why or (b) people started paying more attention to other friends while you were gone. Then, you returned and they went back to answering yours, so stopped spending that time with those other friend's questions You are asking "why" .. for one or both of those scenarios? You know me - I'll cover the bases and answer both possibilities .. or try to. (a) Once the word gets out "you're back" - folks will do as they did and answer to whichever extent they used to. Not like starting from scratch for folks to know what your ques are like or that you'll recognize their ans. Just a change back in daily or weekly AB habits. (b) If folks answered more of other friend's stuff while you were gone - and now you're back - then I guess that requires they make some changes. Ummmmm .. answer faster or drop the new ones and go back to those of person on LOA or change number of friends overall or change the frequency of going through friend's Q&A .. or any number of other changes!! Why? Only so many hours in a day or week. In other words? If someone leaves - the water ripples. If someone returns (or joins) - the water ripples. Members here change and adjust to changing waters. But besides all the factors above, I'd point to the calendar as well. We've got "the holidays", power outages and who knows what to add to the mix here in December. My two cents worth .. or five .. or ten. :) In general, if this is about you vs an in general question, then hope you're feeling ok there, Sm00z. You were missed. As you not only post your questions but run around answering things as well .. your ripple will ripple away and all will be well.

First of all, welcome back =) Second of all, I am sure that your friends answer what they think they can answer !! Questions vary , and sometimes one would find oneself unable to answer certain questions !!! It has nothing to do with you taking a break !!!

I don't know why, and I would have thought it would be the opposite. I know that I missed you while you were gone. Sometimes I skip over questions because I don't have an answer, or I'm short on time. :)

I don't know . I have friends on my list who rarely ever answer my questions :(

I think it's the timing, and that people are probably trying to get shopping and other things done and aren't on as much.. I just got my cards out yesterday! I feel like I'm very late with everything this year.

I've never noticed anyone doing that. Maybe they are not looking at their List or even not here.
