Why do people but mixed lunch meat (ham & turkey for ex) with cheese and all the fixings in a sandwich when you can't differentiate between the flavors?

The flavors meld together. Ever have chicken cordon blue? Talapia stuffed with crab? How about a cheeseburger (a burger infused with blue cheese)? It's all about total flavor. Think of the song about the sage, rosemary and thyme (Simon and Garfunkel). You need to watch the cooking channel once in a while:)

Let's look at this from a different perspective. Let's say you love chocolate syrup...good all by itself. And let's say you love whipped cream...all by itself. And let's say you love eating something else, also good by itself. But, if you were to put a little chocolate syrup and whipped cream on that other thing you might like, then it makes a whole new flavor, with everything mixed together, even better? Yes?

Right on ((((POLICE))))!! I don't understand that either. Now putting bacon on top of my hamburger is alright----I can taste the bacon, which complements the burger, but putting ham slices with turkey makes no sense. Or mixing in a few different kinds of cheeses (mozzarella, swiss, cheddar) in a sandwich. Sort of like putting wasabi with yellow mustard in my teriyaki sandwich! Yuck. Lol.

Don't know... Perhaps they have destroyed there taste with Spice that they don't notice the induvidual meats.
