Is There An Easier Way To Count Back Money?

Now I can ask a queation I always wanted to. Being Native to this land as I am what type of HELL have you guuys created here in the USA? Wasn't the Indian way better no debts no money just live hunt and trade a little and count on your tribe?Any thoughs

    No medicine, no heating - winters were pretty harsh. Average lifespan probably 45 years, instead of rising 80 today. The country supporting maybe 2 million people instead of 300 million. You can always look at the best of some past society, and compare it with the worst, or even the average, of now, and make now look bad. Yes, to be a fit Native American when the crops had flourished and the hunting was good would have been a pretty fine thing. But crops failed, hunting failed, disease and old age came. The reason that there were so relatively few Native Americans across the continent is because so many dies of this, that and the other. Would you like to be outside today (late December) in a hide tent with only a smokey wood fire to keep you warm, dried meat left over from the summer to eat (boiled or raw), and having to go out several times a day to search for increasingly scarce wood? I wouldn't. Which is far from saying that this civilisation is perfect - but that one wasn't, either.

One word... GREED. Native Americans were shoved into a corner, forced to have the least productive land. Forced to live by the rules of the greedy people. The Indian way worked back in the day, and still works for some. Because of technology, few people want to go back to that though...

I tried that in Viet Nam. No money, no debts. I just hunted and traded for a little pot to make everything go away. And I counted on my tribe--we called it a "rifle squad" -- which usually meant 10 men. The very high attriton rate often brought that number down. . I believe that native Americans were truly mistreated and killed years ago. And in most cases on reservations today, they're given the short end of the stick. . Yet I think what we guys have created here in the United States is the best country in the world.

It was a good life for the times but times change. There isn't enough game for one thing. Some of our ancestors did farm (though on a smaller scale.) However, I don't think this country could support all of our people that way. Since I have both ancestries, I have to consider all of the people instead of ranting about pushing them back into the ocean (like we should have done in the beginning.) Big mistake was letting them get off the boat.

Only one Indian tribe had a written language! Which means they did not think about leaving anything for the future members of their tribe! If you can't imagine a future for your people then you are a primitive culture at best!
