What should I be looking for when purchasing an HDTV?

I am looking into purchasing the Mitsubishi WD-65735 DLP HDTV with the stand. Is this a good TV and is $1599.00 a decent price for both?

  • Answer:

You'd get better picture quality and pay less in long term repair costs getting something other than a rear projection TV. You're better off going for something like the Olevia 255TFHD LCD TV, the Olevia 252TFHD LCD TV - 52", or the Toshiba 52RV530U Regza LCD TV. All of these will give you much better picture quality and are several hundred dollars cheaper than the Mitsubishi.
