How do you delete and account on a mac?

Mac users please. Can anyone tell me how to keep my computer from storing all my incoming messages in Webmail...and just to have it come into my primary account? or at least have it delete from Webmail after a period of time. My acct fills all the time.

  In your account settings for the one that you wish to defer, go to server settings. From there click the advanced button and this will give you the option to have the mail sent to another inbox such as your primary account. Where these options are may vary depending upon your email program but that's the general idea. **To be safe, go ahead and move any messages still in the old account to the desired inbox before doing this. :) **
