Does anybody have a virtual store on Ebay? I am very interested in how you get your merchandise. Do you have to spend money to make money? And, if you are selling a particular like products is it okay to add one or two items that are not like products?

Answer:
My sister in law does have a (couple three actually) store(s) on Ebay. One deals with 'hippy stuff' Hippy Generation Era "quality" junk, ya know black light posters, orange furniture, bell bottom pants. One deals with what she calls antiques. Although I was not too amused to find her selling toys that were common place in my childhood and calling them 'antiques'. She mostly hits estate sales, yard sales and even thrift stores, then 'turns them around' and sells on Ebay. She has 'commissioned' me to build some stuff (toys mostly) which she has turned around and sold on Ebay for a decent profit for both of us. I also built some shelving units, requiring some assembly, that she was able to sell for much more than the materials cost. My spouse recently sold a whole bunch of stuff, company trinkets that the company hands out and are considered collectors items by some people. Made $350 off of what I consider trash. In the later she made a 'box' with a few good items and several 'junk' items, the whole box was sold as a lot meaning the buyer bought the contents, both bad and good. It was the very first item to sell, like within an hour of being on the auction block. While they (the woman folk) have attempted to get me interested and have attempted to get me to 'window shop' at Ebay I haven't had much interest. But I do dimly recall (I really wasn't paying attention I was way to interested in finding my happy place - the place I go to when the women folk are scaring me) being shown various 'stores' on Ebay that sold various sundry items. I think I recall individual items and 'box' items being sold as a group. I kind of thought it odd that some of those boxes had 'junk' that didn't seem to go together, but the sister-in law was excited, buying one or two of the boxes as I sat there desperately seeking my happy-place acting like she had just dug up a treasure chest. Recently we cleaned out the storage unit of a 'recently' (two years now) passed relative, a lot of 'junk' the sister in law sold on Ebay. This is all to say that one man's junk is another man's treasure, and this should give you some ideas on where to find stuff to sell.
