Why doesn't my tv have sound?

My PS3 was struck by lightning and it doesnt work. it turns on blue light stays on u an hear the disk spinning but nothing shows up on tv and no sound. i tried all outputs nothing. however i noticed the hdd light doesnt go on could it be the hard drive?

    FYI lightning damage may be covered by your renters or homeowners insurance. I once had a strike that destroyed a whole bunch of stuff. It burned out circuit boards in the oven, a TV, a computer, all the dimmer switches in the house, etc. My insurance company paid to fix or replace. Check your policy and deductible.

do you think if i install a new hard drive that will fix it? i know how to do that as i already upgraded the hard drive to 120gb just wish i wouldve kept the old one...

it could be that the lightning wiped the drive and made it unbootable. A computer I once had got zapped, and most of my files disappeared on me. You're going to have to either send your ps3 in for repairs, or buy a new one.

If your system was hit by mega amps, the only cure for it is to buy a new one.

my house got struck by lightning to but my ps3 turns on and audio works and the screen it just wont connect to internet and take like 3 times of turnin it off and on to get it to turn on lol but does anyone know how i can fix it
