Should i apply for jobs now before relocating?

I am in the process of relocating (for the observant user thats why my time has been reduced on AB) and I am going to be switching jobs as a result of my companies collapse. How many others have lost jobs or had to relocate becuase of the economy?

My business went, then I got a job with another company and now they look like they won't ride out the recession!
