Cool teen pillows for bedroom?

I have had so much static on my couches recently. Every time I sit or get up you can hear it, I can't touch anything or anyone without getting shocked, it's now rubbing off on the blankets and pillows in my bedroom. How do I get rid of it?

  • Answer:

Get a humidifier...increasing the humidity in your home to normal levels will control the static level, as well.

You need an electrician to ground your entire home before you get electrocuted!

The problem is, during the winter, the air becomes extremely dry. This causes the static electricity. Buy one of those cold-water humidifiers for that room. OR (an old-fashioned approach) put some pans of water (if you can) by your heat registers. The air blowing over or by them, and the heat, will help the water evaporate into the air, and help it humidify the air. (I remember in an old house we lived in, my mom did this. Of course, those were old metal pans, but I don't think that's necessary.)

I recommend buying natural fabrics as they wont build up a charge in the first place, cottons, linnen etc.
