How to sort (alphabetize) an extremely long list of words (about 900,000 words) in a Microsoft Word document? The Microsoft Word software does not work when I try to sort the whole list as it did on shorter word lists (about 15,000 words or less).

Answer:
LOL, you really are asking a word processing program to do a lot more than a word processing program should do. This issue probably has something to do with insufficient memory to complete the operation. You need to import that list (saveas 'comma delimited' or ASCII or *something*) into a database program like MS Access. Maybe Excel can handle it if they ever got past that limitation on the number of rows you can have. But Access is your best bet! Back in the DOS days this would of been simple (sigh)
