Where are some nice DECENT price apartments in Philly?

I've been apartment hunting online but heres the question one website lets say apartments.com & rent.com have different rent prices for the same one bed & bath apartment which one is right? where can i go to see the actual price for the rent?

    They're both "right"...the difference is in the comission you're paying the middleman companies. Apartment "finder" services are largely scams, placing themselves between you and your future landlord and taking a cut of the money. I once went to a "finder" service and told them what I wanted, in what part of town, and how much I wanted to spend and they laughed at me since my rent figure was slightly over HALF the cheapest places they had in their scambucket. Within 2 days I found a smaller complex privately owned that fit my requirements exactly...including my price. When you use services like that...or today's equivalents like the sites you mentioned, you are paying a lot of marketing and commission overhead every time you cut a rent check. You can save substantial money by seeking out the smaller independent landlords that aren't paying huge finders fees to marketers. Try looking in places that do not get a commission like craigslist posts (by the property owners, not their partners/representatives/management company), or small local "thrifty nickle" type publications, local newspapers, etc.

It's entirely possible that both sites are correct. Some sites just list, other sites try to get deals for the renter. But if you just want the actual price I'd call the apartment complex. The number should be listed with the apartment. They'll give you a ready answer.

the apartment is probably being sold at the same price on both websites.the one with the higher cost, though, probably raised it so the website can make some money. the website is just selling it for the person. a way to find out is to call up the website and find out who the actual seller of the website is
