I'm thinking of purchasing a phone, but it says does not work with 3g network and and 3g sim cards, but it's prepaid. So what kind of card would I need to get? It has a dual sim standby? I'm new to this stuff. Please help

Answer:
If your service provider is AT&T, you most likely have a 3G SIM card. Unfortunately, you cannot get a SIM card legally and have your service transferred to it. Your SIM card needs to come from AT&T and be activated by them, so I would strongly recommend that you not buy the phone you are considering buying. I am assuming it is one of the Chinese phones. The dual SIM does not work in the US and it is not a good phone. If AT&T is your carrier, I would strongly recommend you buy an AT&T branded phone if at all possible. I hope this helps. Thanks.
