What cause people to only see in black and white?

What pulls people in, to like 'commercial music'? the majority of it is untalented musicians thrusted into the spotlight cause the record company sees they can make profit, why cant we see through this, and listen to music with real emotion and tallent?

Plus it has also to do with that these so called musicians that play for the emotion and talent you speak of are at a great disadvantage than the hottest billboard artists because these guys have professionals to produce their albums and market them too.
