What steps do you need to take in order to become a teacher?

I'm almost done with college and would really like to become a teacher? What steps now do I need to take in order to create that dream?

    College? Does that mean that you now have a teaching qualification? (Some places have teacher's college, other places it just seems to mean "upper school"). So if you haven't got the required degree in your country, do that. Don't wait to get a job as a teacher. Put an ad on a notice board that you will tutor students - help with homework, whatever. If you're lucky, you can build a good income from tutoring, or at least enough to supplement your income if you still have to study. You never know, you might be able to create your own "teacher" job outside of any normal school.
