Why cannot I get sound when I connect a digital projector to my SONY home theater system? I have HDMI cables between all components. I can connect the projector directly to the cable box or DVD player (also connected to the SONY HTS) and get sound.

I DON'T KNOW FOR SURE BUT MY GUESS WOULD BE THAT YOUR PROJECTOR IS TRYING TO DECODE THE SIGNAL FROM THE HOME THEATER SYSTEM THAT HAS ALREADY DECODED THE SIGNAL. I THINK YOU MAY NEED TO STOP THE HTS TO STOP IT'S DECODING AND LET THE PROJECTOR DO IT. CHECK THE ON SCREEN MENUS IF AVAILABLE.
