My mom doesn't like the fact that I'm playing Pokemon because she says it has eastern mysticism in it, so where can you find a Christian website that talks about how Pokemon can be bad in some areas but okay in others?

Maybe her real objection is your obsession with the game. I have a grand daughter that plays with the Pokemon things too, frankly, I don't understand any of it. Some of the people, here, recommended that you moderate you're playing. I think that's a good idea. Sometimes people use religion for an excuse because they don't know their real objections. I think she's telling you not to become obsessed with a game. Youth is a time to try a lot of things, new sports, nature, and learn what the world is all about. I find obsessing with games and role playing is a good way to become isolated and miss the fun that's going on around you.

all such can be good,useful and entertaining, music, computers,cells, television...people make them bad by abusing it...maybe if u have a disciplined time, say 1 hr. a day..and she see u are not addicted she won't feel so scared and threatened for u....there are lots of addictions(serious) out there..and they are bad...monitered use may help ur mom ...:)justme

It's just a game. Star wars has eastern mysticism in that too. The same people at my church who scream and rant about Harry Potter being evil go out and buy all the Star Wars movies and toys for their kids, or let them play video games where you shoot cops and pick up hookers. The type of Christian who thinks every form of media is evil unless it stars Kirk Cameron or is made by Tyler Perry gets on my nerves. Explain to your mother that it is just a game and it means nothing. Tell her that you aren't going to go out and become a Taoist monk. There are a lot more dangerous influences out in the world than Pokemon. Here is a site that I am on all the time. It is called fans for Christ.
