I live in Florida and I want to start a garden. The problem is we have no soil, just sand and wet sand. Can I just buy a bunch of potting soil and mix it with the sand and make a home for plants in my yard?

First-what are you trying to grow? Second-in gardening (and many other things) it's usually not good to "just buy a bunch") Why not go to a semi-decent garden center/nursery (no, not Wal-Mart or Home Depot) and as for their advice?
