What is a good homemade organic pesticide recipe?

I live in Ontario and pesticdies are now band. We will be one giant weed come this summer. I heard of a natural pesticide consisting of sunlight soap, listerine and chewing tobacco, anybody have the recipe? I've searched the web and can't find a thing!

  • Answer:

Cup dish soap Cup Listerine Cup tobacco tea Mix them together and use at 1 tablespoon per gallon Use any lemon scented dish soap. The cheap stuff works just as well For the tobacco tea, use chewing tobacco not any kind of snuff or dip and again get the cheapest. Use your thumb and first three fingers to grab a bunch. Put in the end of a nylon stocking and boil it in a quart of water until the water is a very dirty brown. Spray every everything every 3 weeks or so. This stuff works great.

I sounds like if the ban is enforced, the ingredients you list may cause problems. Your best bet is to rent goats. They are not expensive and do the job.

I have no idea what it is. I boil the kettle and pour boiling water on the weeds they wilt and in a day or two die. Maybe you could try that. Good luck.
