What's some good ideas for a party?

Its my 14 year old daughters birthday soon. I want her to have an awesome party but whats a good theme? she is a tomboy and i only want her to have about 2-4 people over.. nothing to big. any ideas?

    I too have a 14yr old daughter, whose b-day is 10/20/2009-----the thing im going to do is that since she is 14 and REALLY getting to old for parties,Im gong to bake her a cake and get some hot fudge sundaes& hve her decide what she want to do for dinner,wether sewants to go out(nothing fancy)(taco bell)or if she wantme to cook her somthing either way its her b-day so she can decide& let me know.(im also ding the same thing for my 16yr old son.

If she's a tomboy, maybe she would like to take kayaking lessons with a girlfriend. (of course this might start a new hobby for her, but it would be fun for her.) then afterwards you could arrange to meet a couple additional friends either at your home and have a cake party or go to an ice cream shoppe and meet a few more of her friends there. She'll be an adult before you know it. Enjoy!

I have to admit to being a little confused. You want her to have an awesome party but she can only have a few friends over? Since I don't know what your line of thinking is, I'd like to suggest that she invite whoever she wants over, except maybe more than a few. It's only one time a year. What harm could it do? As for themes, what is she into? I'll try to think of ideas off of that.
