Does anyone know the story behind the Napier shootings? (New Zealand news) iv been looking them up and all the news site has is information about the policemen involved.

  Napier shootings So things are pretty chaotic here at the moment. I doubt it's made the news in other countries, but 3 police officers and 1 passerby were shot (1 police officer killed) yesterday in Napier, about 10 mins from the school. It's still ongoing, the gunman is in a house nearby with explosives and all sorts of weapons, surrounded by police and the roads are cordoned off. The dead police officer is still outside the house, because they can't retrieve the body. So yesterday the school went into complete lockdown mode. All day students in the hall, all hostel girls back in the hostel, locked in the dining room and rec room. No one was allowed to move between buildings or to go near windows. Students were only able to retrieve their phones etc when escorted by teachers. No one gets in the school, no one gets out.
