What to do when you broke up with your man?

God told A&E the punishments for the Fall, AFTER the Fall. When man makes laws, we PREscribe the punishment when we make the law - not after somebody broke it. We consider it unfair otherwise. What's up with that?

  • Answer:

According to the English Standard Version, God "commanded the man, saying 'You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowldedge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.'" [Genesis 2:16,17] So Adam knew beforehand that he wasn't supposed to eat. He also had the opportunity to stop Eve from eating it when he was standing near her watching her eat it. The fact that he CHOSE not to was of his own volition. And Anonymous, while God did create the serpent, who is strongly believed to be Satan in disguise, Satan, like man, CHOSE to rebel and tempt man to make the wrong CHOICE. You can blame God for giving us free will if want, though. Oh, wait, you wouldn't have that option if he hadn't given you the CHOICE.

Didn't Gawd add, "lest ye die," when admonishing A&E not to touch or to partake of the fruit of the tree of knowledge? Anyway, Gawd ALSO created the serpent who tempted Eve, so it's all HIS fault, anyway. +5
