Are Ford Fusion reliable cars?

Recent news shows Ford selling more cars than than Toyota, GM and Chrysler. One source says people want to stay away from 'bailout' makes and the Fusion is as good or better than Toyota. Any comments/thoughts??? Is this true?

  • Answer:

Ford builds better bodies than Toyota, full stop. Toyota builds better engines and electrical connections. They both have good transmissions. You can put a new engine in a good body, but you can put a new body on a good engine. I'll buy another Ford truck in a heartbeat. My success rate with Ford cars has been about 50/50.

I'll be buried in my Ford F-350 diesel truck I took weekend test drive of GM, TOY(ota), And Dodge Ford is far superior in every aspect I would have snapped the Toy in half in about a months time, as far as trucks go this lives up to it's name sake TOY(ota) The Dodge @ 70mph sounded like a F5 tornado ripping through a trailer park, it had zero fit and finish The GM was 2nd to the Ford but was under powered and had more recalls in the past Ford has the advantage of having at least 30% of sale being fleet sales, they were more apt to weather a depression than the other 2 the fusion is on an equal line with some toyota models It really comes down to personal pref. I didn't buy a Ford because my daddy x3 gen had one I did the researh and testing myself I suggest anyone in the market for a car/truck do the same

I've driven Nissan, Mazda, Toyota, Fords, GM cars, and although the Fusion is a pretty decent car, I'm personally a fan of the cars we have... Our newer one is a Scion TC,(made by Toyota) and my old 1990 Mazda 323:D I love the Scion because it's actually well thought out design wise, which makes routine maintenance much less of a pain, and my 323 is just the greatest car ever!! Lol... It's old as dirt, rusty, and doesn't have power anything... BUT parts are super cheap, it's easy to work on, and best of all, even though I have over 275,000 miles on it, I still get 42 mpg on the highway. When I took it for emissions testing it barely registered! The guy thought I cheated! Lol...
