Are all Texas people like Bush?

Does it ever surprise you how many people think George W Bush is from Texas?

  • Answer:

He was raised here and has also been Governor of Texas before becoming president. He also lives there now. However, he was born in Connecticut: "Born in New Haven, Connecticut on July 6, 1946, Bush was the first child of George H. W. Bush and Barbara Bush (born Pierce). He was raised in Midland and Houston, Texas, with his four siblings, Jeb, Neil, Marvin and Dorothy. Another younger sister, Robin, died from leukemia at the age of three in 1953. Bush's grandfather, Prescott Bush, was a U.S. Senator from Connecticut. Bush's father, George H. W. Bush, served as U.S. President from 1989 to 1993. Education: As a child, Bush attended public schools in Midland, Texas until the family moved to Houston after he completed seventh grade. He then went to The Kinkaid School, a prep school in Houston, for two years. Bush finished his high school years at Phillips Academy, a boarding school (then all-male) in Andover, Massachusetts, where he played baseball and during his senior year was the head cheerleader." Texas welcomed him with open arms. He's got a ranch there, he lives in Dallas now, he ran two oil companies into the ground, and screwed up a baseball team - all in Texas. I wonder why folks think he's from Texas...hmmmmm.
