How does stem cells work?

Scientists in England say a technique to create sperm using stem cells from an embryo could be feasible within five years. How does this technique work? Is it cloning?

  • Answer:

"Cloning can refer to the technique of producing a genetically identical copy of an organism by replacing the nucleus of an unfertilized ovum with the nucleus of a body cell from the organism." -- Websters Medical Dictionary It sure sounds like cloning to me. I guess we men will shortly be relegated to taking out the garbage and lifting heavy objects sooner than I thought. Once women develop the capacity to do this telepathically, we're done.
