How hard is college?

How difficult is college? I am a veteran and I want to know how hard is college. Do the textbooks get more difficult? What gets harder in college? Will my military experience help me in college?

  • Answer:

It is hard but it has to be. You just have to find the best learning method and learn that way. there will be some classes that are really easy for you and some that you hate so much it seems they will never end. As for military..I think (or it was when I was in school) that if you had military experience you could skip the PE part of the studies. It is possible to CLEP out of classes if you are smart enough. You have to be really dedicated to it or it won't happen. Thank you for fighting for our freedom.

The hardest thing about college is self discipline, so odds are, you will do well.

It depends on a lot of things, but mostly it depends on your level of interest, I think. That's what it was for me, anyway. I can't stand listening to lecturers drone on for hours on a subject that bores the hell out of me. It's one of the reason I didn't attend a traditional college. On another note - thank you. I don't know what branch of the military you were in, your rank, or what your experiences were, but thank you for helping my family :) +5
