In my 2000 Suburban, the low coolant light keeps coming on. It isn't on all the time, and I have coolant. My temp. is ok also. Could it be my water pump? Can I reset this somehow?

Answer:
if you are measuring the coolant level by the amount in the puke tank it can be low on coolant the clear plastic tank will only keep the fluid level correct if the radiator is more than half full. If you can access the radiator, fill it while the engione is running look on the t-stat housing to look for an air bleeder, air in the system will cause the sensor to be tripped. If you are getting a low coolant level you have a leak somewhere Start by pulling the oil dipstick and see if it looks milky of yellowish, if so it's a blown head gasket if this is ok, put a piece of cardboard unger the engine area over night and see what is on it
