I have noticed some people answer questions with exact quotes from other sites on the net. CUT AND PASTE. If that's whats what I looked for I would have joined the "Best Researcher site" What do you think?

Answer:
I do this for answers that don't require an opinion. If someone's looking for that information, might as well give them it. After all, isn't that what they're looking for? Besides, why plagiarize? Often times I don't know the answer so I look it up through google, and respond the best thing I collect or a combination of it, whether a quote or not. Personally, I don't see the harm in it if it answers the question and includes the link. I'm obviously biased though. xD

Mensan and Charlie have it right. An appropriately timed cut and paste can be extremely helpful, and the person did go through the effort of looking up the answer. I don't hold it against someone for not knowing an answer themnselves. I don't know of any ABer who uses this method exclusively when answering questions. More likely, the person had a genuine desire to help and did the best they could for another. +5

Sometimes, a link to another website that has the correct answer or information, saves BOTH the questioner and the asker, a lot of time and extra typing. +5

It does not bother me If someone pastes an answer to my questions, the Importance would be that your getting an answer to your question. At the same time, If It was a good answer, then you'd save some time by googling the Information.

I think that this is a great site with alot of different personalities of people at any given time,so if you don't like it,you don't have to be here.I'm not trying to be crude, but it is all about freedom of choice, and I like those questions just as much as any other.*+++++*
Celeste: It is what it is. Like it or not
I don't like it if its not applicable. Most of my Q's need imagination or life knowledge to answer.

Then you should not ask questions that ask for factual information. Sounds like you want to ask opinion questions only. I use cut and paste if I know something about the subject but not enough to give specific factual information. I may also give my opinion or arrange my answer in a certain way to show my true opinion. I think you are missing that possibility since we often seek facts to back our opinions. LOL

A user who has created an account can ask and answer questions, comment on answers, rate questions and answers, and suggest new categories. Users can rate both questions and answers by giving positive or negative points, from plus or minus 1 for beginners, to plus or minus 6 for very experienced users. Through their contributions to the site, users can "level up," and earn the right to give or take away more points from other users' questions and answers. Users can also accumulate points by flagging questions and answers as "Wrong Category", "Nonsense", "Spam/Offensive", and "Duplicate". Flagged questions/answers are reviewed by moderators, and if they agree with the flag, they will give the user who flagged the question/answer 5 points. Users have profile pages where their points and submissions are reviewable by other users, and 'leaderboards' show current and all-time contributors in categories such as "Most questions asked" and "Most positive ratings received." I think its fine. (Now that I've learned from this question & these answers that people DO that as much as they do!) :D Personally, I haven't done that myself: when answering a factual type of question, I usually prefer to give an answer that I've had the opportunity to think through/live with for a while first in my own life.

I feel that people who answer our questions with direct quotes and no thoughts of their own, give the writer a sense of being BLUNTLY "to stupid to Google it your self. Most people I HAVE MET HERE ARE REAL AND ANSWER FROM THE HEART AND THAT'S WHAT I WANT!
