Why is my mom allergic to Tuna in a can?

If you grew up Catholic a while back, what did your Mom make for Friday night dinner? We always had tuna-noodle casserole made w/ a can of cream-of-mushroom soup and crumbled potato chips on top, baked in a white casserole dish.

That Guy Again

That's right, we WERE allowed to eat fish, I almost forgot. Seems kinda silly if you can eat fish and not meat, but then again, it is the Catholic dogma at it's best. We had cheese pizza often ordered in from Tiritilli's restaurant because my mom worked nights and my dad could not cook anything. We were also big on tuna fish.

Probably beans on toast, or egg, chips and beans, or if Mum was too tired to cook, then fish & chips from the local chippy.

I have a fish allergy so we have vegetarian dishes on Fridays during Lent. Cheesey potatoe casarole, cheese Enchilada's, spaghetti with no meat or meatballs, etc... you can find all sorts of great vegetarian recipees online that are great! I enjoy some of the vegetarian dishes so much I almost feel guilty that it doesn't feel like a sacrafice at all!
