How To Sell My Book On Tesco?

Have bk not yet listed on Amzn to sell w/ ISBN, if do Prof. to get book listed, can then chng to individ until volume up

  • Need to get book listed on Amazon to be able to sell it. Has ISBN #, I understand need to be a "Professional Seller" to sell items not already listed. Our volume will be low to start with, wondering if I sign up for 1 month of Professional Selling and list the book - if I can change to an individual seller until get the volume up & have the book be then available to sell? In other words - once listed - does it remain on the site, even if seller no longer there? Thanks for your help in this.

No. Is the book a pre-publication copy?

No - full version, have 100's on hand. Has been out for a year+. Already in distribution. We are new to Amazon & would like to be able to sell it there. There are other items we've published - that other folks must have gotten listed. But we have not yet done any selling in this venue.

Then why don't you just go with a pro membership? It will be cheaper in the long run after you start selling. Actually, you can do what you suggested, but you'll get charged the higher rate after you switch back to a regular membership.

I've been selling on Amazon for over ten years, have gone from regular to pro and back, so it can be done.

Thanks - our thought was to start at the individual level and move up to the Pro Level when the volume was high enough. We already sell the book directly to folks we know / our current customers via our own website (at a much higher profit - since a direct sale) and we plan on continuing to do that. But we are a bit of a "niche market" and we were hoping to expand into the more "general market" with a wider distribution on http://Amazon.com but we have no idea what to expect in terms of sales. We'd rather not pay out of pocket until we reach that volume. So if I understand you correctly - sounds like we can sign up for the free month trial of the Pro membership - set up the book to sell & then cancel that Pro membership & do an individual one, & the book should then be available on Amazon for us to sell as an individual? When you say higher rates - I assume you are talking about the different rates that are charged to Individual vs. Pro members? If so - as long as our volume is under say 40 items per month - it would cost us less to do the individual. Once our sales go over 40 per month on average - we could then switch to the Pro level? Would love your thoughts / confirmation on all that. Your help is VERY MUCH appreciated!!!!!!!!!

Yes. That's basically what I did. Good Luck!

And one other part of that question - when you go back & forth between Individual & Professional - do you keep the same account information & just change the classification of your account - so that you keep all your buyer feedback / rating? Or if go from Pro to Ind back to Pro - are you creating a new account each time? Thanks again!!!!

Dahowski

No, it's the same amount. The only difference is what you pay.

gabrielhusseinnova

Remember, your pro account is on auto-renew every month, so change from pro to regular before the end of your month.

THANK YOU!
