  You can upload background images hosted on YouTube to create a customized background image for your channel. Please follow the steps below to change your channel's background image: 1. Sign in and click 'Account' (in the upper right corner of the page). 2. Click the large blue 'My Account' link in the top left hand corner of the screen. 3. From the 'My Account' drop-down menu, select the ''My Channel'' option. 4. In the left hand navigation section, click 'Channel Design'. 5.Under Advanced Design Customization section locate the 'Background Image' section, and click the 'Browse' button. 6. Find an image that you'd like to appear as your Channel's background and select the file. 7. Don't forget to click the 'Update Channel' button to save your changes! 8. You can then click the 'View your public channel' hyperlink (in the top right hand corner of the page) to see the edits you made on your channel. Note: The image you've uploaded should be viewable within 6 hours. Please note: - You can no longer enter URLs to upload a background image. - If you had set your background image to a URL, your background will be blank until you upload an image from your computer. - You cannot upload animated GIFs as background images.
