How to make your job interview a successful one so that you land the job?

If landing the job is in your best interests that would be ideal. I say this...be honest and you do some interviewing as well. It is a two-way street you know. They want to determine if you will be a good fit and you want to determine if they will be the kind of place you want to work. You have mutual goals, only each of you looks at it from a different perspective. Getting a job for which you are ill-suited is a colossal waste of time. You do enough interviewing and you will know if it is right for you! :)

If there is more than one interviewer flick your eyes to each interviewer in turn when answering a question. That shows you are communicating with them all not just the questioner. Very flattering. Use body language to express yourself fully. Don't sit there like a stuffed dummy. If you need time to consider an answer. Ask the questioner to enlarge upon on their question. This gives the impression you are truly listening to the question and paying attention to detail. Retired Met Police Development Trainer

Don't give the interviewer a chance to back out.I asked my interviewer to be honest and truthful and to prove himself just!I was the only one who had not brought a letter of recommendation,money,luck or experience.Just on the basis of proving the worth of the company I challenged him to give me the job because I was the best.I got it!He had no choice.+

Go to the interview with the understanding that it is a mutual interview. You are also interviewing them to see if you really want to work WITH them. Be yourself! Don't try to be something that you are not. Be honest about your qualifications and abilities. If possible, have references. And, have a great resume.

Be honest and professional. Do not tell them things that they DO NOT NEED to know.
