How do you change the ink to print with?

I am trying to print on my HP J 4680 - white ink on black paper. I have changed the font to white, but it continues to print in black. If I change the font to red, it prints in red. What am I doing wrong?

There are no stupid questions (although this one comes close). You cannot print in white ink on black paper just by setting the font to white. There's no white ink in your printer so this will not happen... ever. If you set your document to black background and white fonts, it will print out white letters but it will do so by printing black ink everywhere on your white page but where the "printing" is. What you end up doing is running out of black ink every four or five pages and the pages will require several minutes of drying time. You can get industrial printers that will output white printing on any kind of stock you wish. They cost from $2000 up to $230,000 depending on the various features you are willing to pay for. Once again... There are NO home/office printers that will output white printing on black stock. Just check out the ink/toner cartridges... see any white ink ones? Hope this helps. P.S. Just checked out the printer you mentioned... as I suspected... no "white" ink cartridge... just one black and one tri (red/blue/yellow).
