Would someone loan me $2000 to pay off a debt to a person? I would pay back with interest and make monthly payments. Banks just go by your credit score, but I'm giving my word, which I think is more valueable.

Sorry, but money talks and BS walks. You may be the most reliable person on the planet, but only a Loan Shark would loan you this money. This is way it only works in todays world.

Someone will loan you the money. On a legal pad, explain why you owe the money, show your sources of income, make a list of personal effects you can use as collateral, write out a repayment schedule, show the interest rate you are willing to pay. Take the sheet to your best friend and they will help you get the loan.
