Answer:
It is the emerald of Italy it's beautiful and has a lot of history. If your thinking of visiting I would surgest Florence, see Plazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio, Plazzo Pitti gardens, The Accademia Museum, The Duomo, Santa Croce, Santa Maria Novella, San Lorenzo and San Lorenzo market, have a dinner at Mamma Mia pizzaria just next to what was once the Medici bank, The Uffizi Gallery, San Marco Santa Sprito, The Medici Palace located on Via Martelli, there is another lovely pizzaria in Piazza Santa Sprito and a great place to eat next door, make sure you try the amazing Fiorentina steak and try to eat in the back streets the food is far better and a much better price same goes for gelato. Siena, Plazzo Rupplica (town hall) The campo is a wonderful sight, as with Florence eat out of the main square its much better, wisit the gallery of Sienese art if you have time its fab, Try to make it on Palio day 2 July or 16 August its amazing if you cant make that day go a week after for the victory parade its really wonderful too. Do not miss the Cathedral complex the facade of the main church is by Piasno and his son and is quite awe inspiring, 10 euro will get you admission to the whole complex. The marble floor inside the main cathedral is fantastic and look out for Pisanos pulpit. After you done with the sights take a walk through the medieval streets its like stepping back in time. Pisa (for a half day) Its really just the cathedral complex here but it houses some wonderful works of art. Do walk from the train station its 20 minutes and is quite nice to see the rest of the city. Fiesole (for a lunch) Located a short bus ride from florence city centre nestled in the hills is this delightful tiny town, photographers will enjoy this place you can snap some great views of Florence, if you have time the Etruscan museum and monastery are worth a visit. 10 August is falling star night in Italy so if your in Fiesole hike up the hill around 9-10pm for a real treat. Arezzo is really worth a vist too. A simply gorgeous little city with many churches to visit and also has its own charming little Duomo so don't miss that and the basilica of San Francesco wonderful medieval tiny church possibly built by the same architect as Santa Maria Novella in Florence, The Piero Della Francesca Fresco's are really worth a look too. The cost of living in this city is much less than some others so you can eat extremely well for a very good price. Lucca is a charming and beautiful little city and still retains its oiginal city walls which are really wonderful there is not so much to do in the delightful Lucca but its a lovely city to take a strole through do see the main cathedral its quite wonderful. but spend the day chilling out eating and there is great shopping too. I hope this has been helpful, feel free to inbox me.
