Please explain the best way to connect (using either or a combination of component,composite,a/v and/or HDMI cables)the following-- Samsung DVD-VR 375( a combo recorder/vcr), Olevia HDTV Model 323 and Motorola DCT 6416 III HD cable box. Many thanks.

Unless you have HDMI coming out of your DVD/VCR combo, I think you'll need to connect it to your TV using component video and separate L+R audio cables. The HD cable box should connect to the TV with an HDMI cable. If your DVD/VCR combo does have HDMI, and your TV has only a single HDMI input connector, I'd stick with component video from the DVD/VCR because it's a standard definition device anyway, and HDMI won't help much with video quality... it may not even be a perceptable difference.
