I put my sd card in a multi slot card reader and i connect it to my computer so the computer defines it as a drive and when i open it computer wants to format the driver.with formatting my memory card will my data gone or not?

Yes! if you format your SD card THE DATA WILL BE GONE! Most likley what is happining is the device that the SD card came from uses a different data format than your computer. If you get your data off the card you could try to format it with the computer and see if it will still work in the device. I will repeat.. if you format the card with the computer ANY DATA ON THE CARD WILL BE LOST!
