How can I use a VGA cable as an input?

If I have a VGA to RCA cable and the RCA output cable is red, green, and blue, can I still use this to connect to a normal TV with just a yellow video input? This is the cable i have: http://bit.ly/VGA-to-RCA-Cable

    The red, green and blue connectors are for component video. The yellow connector is for composite video. So the answer is no. That's why the red, green and blues won't fit into the yellow: to let you know they are not compatible. Component video keeps the red signal, green signal and blue signal separate until they are inside the TV and are displayed together. Composite video has all the signals blended together into one signal. That's pretty simplistic, but it sort of explains why it won't work.
